ACE mini-grant program
The ACE Mini Grant Program, sponsored by the Office of Academic Community Engagement, and funded by the California Call to Service Initiative, supports SDSU faculty and staff to develop courses and projects, or to participate in initiatives aligned with broader goals for community engagement.
ELIGIBILITY
- Applicants must be active SDSU faculty or staff members.
- Applicants must submit a complete application.
- Applicants must be able to provide a valid SDSU Oracle account string where the funds transfer, and the coordinator, analyst or resource manager responsible for that account must be willing to manage/disperse funds post-transfer.
- Priority may be given to applications tied to CELT-certified courses.
- Applications for funding related to new course development or course redesign, the applicant must be willing to get the course CELT-certified.

Up to $2500
Development of new community-engaged, service learning or civically engaged course at SDSU
Up to $1500
Work related to an existing community-engaged, service learning or civically engaged course at SDSU.
Up to $1000
Non-course related community engagement work.
- Awards are subject to budget availability and may vary from year-to-year.
- Funds may support courses, projects, travel, supplies, equipment, etc. connected to the faculty/staff member’s community engaged work. Funds must be spent in compliance with university policy and state law.
- Awards may be issued for less than the amount requested.
- Applications are accepted year-round as follows:
