course certification

Faculty members who wish to formally participate in recognized community engaged learning at SDSU and obtain a Service Learning (SL) or Community Engagement (CE) course certification should complete steps 1-4 below..  The advantages of getting your course certified include expanding student outreach network for course enrollments, connecting project work with motivated students, possible eligibility for funding to support the course, community partners, students and more.

We highly encourage all faculty to certify their courses. However, all faculty who engage in CE or SL, whether certified or not, are eligible for support from our office.
